The autumn part of the series will open with landscape architect Sophie Beaudoin, co-president of the Canadian studio CCxA (Claude Cormier et Associés). The practice is renowned for its sensitive approach to the urban landscape, its emphasis on place identity, and its thoughtful integration of public space into everyday life.
Her lecture will highlight selected projects and the process behind them, from the conceptual stage to final realization. She will also address broader issues currently shaping the field of landscape architecture, including responses to the climate crisis, the changing use of public space, and the need for long-term sustainable solutions. Drawing on three decades of practice, she will reflect on the interplay between form, content, and the social role of contemporary landscape design.
The 15th edition of the nationwide Architecture Day festival, will take place from October 2 to 7, 2025.
This year’s main theme will highlight the role of women in architecture and in society at large. The program will showcase projects and works by active Czech architects of the younger and middle generation, nearly forgotten pioneers, as well as leading female figures of Czech architecture. It will also focus on the work of the first Czech woman to earn a degree in architecture, Milada Petříková-Pavlíková, the recently deceased Alena Šrámková, and the influential Věra Machoninová.
The program will further include the work of contemporary and emerging architects, as well as guided walks and lectures led by female historians and theorists of architecture.
The Architecture Day and Film and Architecture festivals are starting, and to mark this occasion, we are opening an information booth in the Lucerna Passage. What can the booth offer, and what information can you find there? You’ll learn everything in our post.

The lecture series on progressive international landscape architecture, LAND/SCAPE II, continues in 2025. The selected guests are not only designers but also strategists and visionaries in the development of landscapes and areas surrounding cities. Their work focuses on creating compact designs that enhance the lives of local residents, plants, and animals, all while preserving biodiversity.
Visitors to the seven inspiring evening events will have the opportunity to experience the best of the landscape architecture scene.
