BRNO – BEYOND HOUSING: NEW MODELS FOR EXISTING CITIES

Behind the scenes of projects such as NOOX, DADA Distrikt, and Papírák, which are changing the way we think about sustainable urban development, with architects from KOGAA at their studio on Bratislavská Street.
The question of housing today extends beyond architecture itself and is closely connected to economic and social change. Finding ways to revitalise overlooked places offers new forms of urban development without the need to expand cities into the surrounding landscape. Through adaptive architecture and mixed uses, we can uncover values that already exist within the urban environment. These projects test alternative forms of ownership and community life that reflect contemporary lifestyles. The future of urban development lies in making the most of what we already have.
