Through green oases in the urban landscape with landscape architect Jitka Vágnerová.
Many areas in the city are unnecessarily paved, have no real use, and are deteriorating. In addition, very little water can penetrate the soil in these places. When redeveloping them, the Komín municipal district therefore chose a different approach: transforming these spaces into so-called blue-green islands – places for water infiltration and high-quality greenery, where people can encounter nature regardless of age, interests, or disability.
Together with the designer of the projects, we will visit two such locations – the first behind the apartment buildings on Urbánkova Street and the second on Urxova Street.
