BRNO – DŮM PRO JULII: THE FIRST CHILDREN’S HOSPICE IN CZECHIA

From the initial idea to the completion of a unique project with one of its architects, Tomáš Págo.
This is the first children’s hospice in Czechia. It provides palliative and respite care, rehabilitation, therapy, and, above all, comprehensive support for families facing extremely difficult circumstances. It is a refuge, a place to experience the hardest moments and to find peace and come to terms with one’s situation. A space for relief, mutual support, and solitude when it is needed most. It is also a place for moments of ordinary life and joyful encounters. A place that did not exist before, yet is so greatly needed.
The sensitive architectural design by studio ČTYŘSTĚN received the Czech Architecture Award 2025.
